Back to business...

Hi ,

I've several announcements but first, if you or your business has been directly affected, here
in Canmore or downstream in Calgary, my thoughts are with you. It's going to be a tough
few weeks with initial recovery, then you will likely face another 6 months of difficult sledding.

But you will pull through. We are not the only folks to face tough events like this. It has
happened often in the past, and we move on.

How you do it, however, will make a big difference. To help you manage the next weeks and
months, I've uploaded a useful document titled "Surviving a Natural Disaster:
10 Tips for Small Businesses". These tips outline what one business did after Hurricane
Sandy wreaked havec on the East Coast.

You can download this document here: http://0s4.com/r/370C9O

For Canmore Business Owners:

My free online marketing "Crash Course" for local business is going ahead tomorrow
morning. This will take place at 9:30 at Elevation Place. The best thing to move ahead,
in my opinion, is to get back to business and if the past days have proven anything to
me, it's that social media and online marketing/communication is more important than ever.

Register for the event here: www.marketingcrashcourse.eventbrite.ca

For those of you who live outside of Canmore:

  1. I will be hosting my Online Marketing Crash Course again, on Tuesday, July 9, at
7:00 PM. The highway in and out of Canmore should be open by then.
  2. My friend Dave Albano, is hosting a live and live-stream event tomorrow evening
called "How to Get 100 Customers in 100 Days" This is a paid event, with a nominal
charge of only $27 via the livestream option or $47 if you buy now. Dave is going to
give all of the proceeds to victims of the flood, so not only will you receive
great information for your business but you will also be helping those in need.

    Registration is here: http://june27.100customers.net/

Now is the time to take the bull by the horns, grit your teeth and do whatever is necessary
to serve your customers and clients, shore up your business and have it perform the way
it was meant to be.

The sun is shining, the water is receding and the world turns.

"Carpe Diem"!

warm regards - Hugh

P.S. Forgot to mention that I will be giving away a $5000 Coaching Grant to one lucky winner tomorrow and another one, at my July 9th event. Another great reason to register
and attend my Online Marketing Crash Course. Hope to see you there.
